Last Minute Rush Job
Greetings sports fans...a bit later than usual with my NCAA picks this week. Last week I was 13-7 at: http://roanoke.com/forecasters/ where I am now 37-23 for the season. On my blog, I went an amazing 23-3. A few of the small college games always get me in the Roanoke Times predictions.
Ok, here goes for this week:
Florida (7) @ Alabama (1)
Let's start this week with an upset and take the Gators 27-20 in this one.
Ohio St. (2) @ Illinois
Ohio State 35-17 winners in this one.
Boise St. (3) @ New Mexico St.
Boise St. will win big on the road … 42-7.
Stanford (9) @ Oregon (4)
Another big Top 10 battle with the visiting team, this time Stanford winning by 31-27.
TCU (5) @ Colorado st.
Another Top 10 team wins on the road by 41-13.
Nebraska (6) @ Kansas St.
While they did not lose last week, the 'Huskers did not impress either but will get by Kansas St. 27-24.
Oklahoma (8) @ Texas (21)
The Longhorns will lose their second in a row by 30-21.
Louisiana-Monroe @ Auburn (10)
Tigers get an easy one 50-14.
Wisconsin (11) @ Michigan St. (24)
Wisconsin will get a tough one on the road 24-17.
Tennessee @ LSU (12)
LSU wins at home 31-17.
Utah (13) Bye
Oregon St. @ Arizona (14)
Arizona 27-20.
Arkansas (15) Bye
Miami, Fla. (16) @ Clemson
Tough one on the road but Hurricanes win 24-14.
Penn St. @ Iowa (17)
Iowa 21-17.
Washington @ Southern California (18)
Trojans 31-13.
Michigan (19) @ Indiana
Wolverines win 38-7.
South Carolina (20) Bye
Virginia Tech @ N.C. State (23)
Hokies have a taste for victory and get an upset in Raleigh 19-16.
UNLV @ Nevada (25)
Freshly into the Top 25, Nevada wins this in state battle 34-24.
In other NCAA action:
Florida St. @ Virginia
I will take home standing Virginia by 26-22.
Navy @ Air Force
Well both teams are off to great starts, I'll take the Air Force 30-21 in this military battle.
Notre Dame @ Boston College
Boston College slightly better at home 30-24.
In Division 1-AA or the FCS:
Delaware @ James Madison
JMU 31-20.
Friday nights action...Saturday afternoon here, we saw Utah St. beat a struggling Brigham Young team 31-6.
Ok, off for now......NFL to come....
And finally in Australia's Nation Rugby League Championship game tomorrow, my favourites the mighty St. George Dragons will fry the East Roosters by 12.
