High School football picks for my slice of Virginia Week 10

Crunch Time in Virginia for High Schools

The high school football back in my old stomping grounds of Southside/Southwest Virginia has reached the final week before playoff time!!

There are quite a few juicy tilts on tap as teams jockey for spots. In the good old Piedmont District, it looks as though four of the five teams will advance to post-season play. Bassett @ Magna Vista

Magna Vista is looking to close out an undefeated season and possible top seeding for the upcoming playoffs while the Bengals are hoping to survive and stay healthy.

Martinsville @ Tunstall

Could be a tricky trip for the Bulldogs as they look to recover from last week’s loss to Magna Vista. In the end Martinsville should hold on.

Carroll County @ Patrick County

These two close out with a non-district game. Carroll County may see post season action while Patrick County is looking to snare a win for the season.
